The Piedmont Health Services WIC program runs a full-scale breastfeeding support program for mothers enrolled in WIC and patients of the PHS Community Health Centers. We provide hands-on support and assessment as well as telephone counseling. Women enrolled in the WIC program may qualify to receive manual or personal electric breast pumps at no cost. We also have a loan program for hospital-grade electric pumps. There are five sites for breastfeeding support services: Carrboro, Hillsborough, Prospect Hill, Moncure and Siler City.
